FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Answers for the questions
that often come first.

Learn how to begin, understand the different levels of support and find the part of Divine Journey that fits what you need now.

01

GETTING STARTED

Finding the right place to begin

I am interested in working with Viji but do not know which service to choose.+

Begin with the concern or transition that feels most present. A focused question may fit a consultation; a complex or unexplained concern may need Comprehensive Ayurvedic Analysis; a pattern requiring supported change may fit Integrated Coaching. You do not need to make that decision alone.

Do I need a diagnosis before reaching out?+

No. You may come with a diagnosis, a collection of symptoms, a life transition, a question or simply the sense that something has not been fully understood.

What is a clarity call?+

A clarity call is an obligation-free conversation used when a service requires mutual fit and a clearer understanding of your needs before beginning.

Can I begin with one consultation?+

Yes. A private consultation is the clearest starting point when you have a defined fertility, pregnancy, birth preparation, postpartum or Jyotiṣa question.

02

UNDERSTANDING AYURVEDA

A whole-person system of health

What is Ayurveda?+

Ayurveda is a traditional Indian system of health that examines constitution, digestion, nourishment, daily rhythm, environment, life stage and patterns of imbalance. Its purpose is to understand how the whole person functions—not simply to name isolated symptoms.

Is Ayurvedic care based only on my doṣa or constitution?+

No. Constitution is one part of the picture. Viji also considers your present imbalances, health history, digestion, body functions, reproductive rhythms, nervous system, environment and the season of life you are navigating.

Will I have to follow a rigid Ayurvedic diet?+

No. Recommendations are personalized to your body, circumstances, preferences and capacity. The goal is to make food and daily life more supportive, not to impose a perfect or culturally unfamiliar routine.

Do I have to take Ayurvedic herbs?+

No. Ayurvedic support may include nourishment, daily rhythm, body practices, reflective work and other lifestyle guidance. Herbs or supplements are considered only when appropriate and are never automatically required.

Can Ayurveda be used alongside conventional medicine?+

Often, yes. Divine Journey’s work is designed to complement—not replace—care from physicians, midwives, mental-health professionals and other licensed providers. Prescribed treatment should not be changed without the prescribing clinician.

Is Ayurveda a religion?+

No. Ayurveda developed within the broader knowledge traditions of India, but it is a system of health and living rather than a requirement to adopt a particular religion or belief system.

03

PRIVATE CARE

Consultations, analysis and coaching

What is the difference between a consultation and Ayurvedic Analysis?+

A consultation is one focused 60-minute session with an intake, written summary and action plan. Comprehensive Ayurvedic Analysis is a deeper, time-bound investigation with a deep-dive meeting, two weeks of monitoring, a report-of-findings meeting, an additional follow-up and an in-depth written roadmap.

When is Integrated Coaching a better fit?+

Integrated Coaching is intended for patterns you want help changing over time—not only understanding. It brings together body–mind coaching, embodied awareness, Ayurveda and Jyotiṣa within an ongoing relationship.

Are sessions available virtually?+

Yes. Private consultations and much of Divine Journey’s individual and group work can be held online. Any relevant in-person availability can be discussed directly.

Will I be expected to take herbs or supplements?+

No. Recommendations are personalized and may include nourishment, daily rhythm, embodied practices, reflective work and Ayurvedic guidance. Herbs and supplements are never automatically required.

04

PREGNANCY & BIRTH

Maternal support and the Birth Preparation Circle

What does the Birth Preparation Circle include?+

The Circle is a 13-week intimate group experience combining pregnancy education, Ayurvedic nourishment, nervous-system preparation, movement, partner involvement, informed decision-making, birth preparation and practical postpartum planning.

Is individualized support included in the Circle?+

General, non-time-intensive questions can be addressed through the private community between Circles. Questions requiring individualized assessment or substantial practitioner time are handled through a separate paid consultation.

When should I join the Circle?+

The program is designed for women who can begin during pregnancy with enough time to complete the 13-week preparation journey before birth. Cohort-specific timing will be shared on the program page.

05

JYOTIṢA

Consultations and learning

What is Jyotiṣa?+

Jyotiṣa is the traditional Indian study of time, pattern and planetary relationships. At Divine Journey it is used as a non-fatalistic lens for self-understanding, timing and meaningful reflection.

Do I need to know astrology before booking a Jyotiṣa consultation?+

No. Your session is explained in accessible language and is centered on the question or pattern you want to understand.

Is the Fundamentals of Jyotiṣa Journey for beginners?+

Yes. The 50-week live journey introduces the foundational language of Jyotiṣa without requiring prior chart-reading experience.

Will I be able to read charts professionally after the fundamentals course?+

No. The course creates a strong foundation and helps you understand energies and patterns within yourself and the world. Professional chart interpretation requires continued study and practice.

06

SCOPE & PRACTICALITIES

What to expect from Divine Journey

Does Divine Journey replace medical or mental-health care?+

No. Divine Journey complements—not replaces—the care of physicians, midwives, mental-health professionals and other licensed providers. Urgent concerns should be directed to the appropriate medical or emergency service.

Can this work be used alongside fertility treatment or conventional care?+

In many situations, yes. Support can be coordinated around conventional care while respecting prescribed treatment and the roles of your licensed providers.

Where can I ask a question that is not answered here?+

Use the Contact Viji page and briefly describe what you are seeking. You do not need to identify the correct service before writing.

Where can I learn about books, cards and prints?+

The Books & Resources section introduces Viji’s Journey series, Nakṣatra Reflection Cards and fine-art prints. Individual product pages will provide meaning, details and recommendations.
