What can I expect in an Embodied Healing session?
Embodied Healing sessions are consent-led, trauma-informed, and begin with grounding and intention. You’ll receive a personalized blend of Ayurvedic bodywork, womb and pelvic therapy, breast and lymphatic support, marma therapy, and energy or sound work. You are professionally draped at all times, and every technique is guided by your comfort and your nervous system’s pace.
Are these sessions safe during pregnancy or postpartum?
Yes. All treatments are adapted with care to your stage of pregnancy or postpartum. We avoid deep abdominal work early in pregnancy and introduce abdominal or womb work postpartum only when your body is ready or after medical clearance. Breast, lymphatic, and nervous system support are offered gently and respectfully.
Which modalities might be used?
Depending on your needs, a session may include womb and pelvic healing, therapeutic breast and lymphatic massage, Ayurvedic oil massage (abhyanga), marma therapy, craniosacral work, Reiki, sound and energy alignment, and Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) integration. These modalities work together to regulate your nervous system, release tension, and restore flow.
How do I know when I’m ready to begin an Embodied Healing session?
You may be ready if you feel called to slow down, tune in, or release stored tension and emotion. You don’t need to have everything “figured out” — simply a willingness to receive support and be present with what arises.
Can the Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) be integrated with bodywork?
Yes. SSP can be woven into Embodied Healing sessions as a gentle listening practice that supports nervous system regulation. It’s not offered as a stand-alone program here, but as an integrated element that deepens relaxation, connection, and sensory integration.
How many sessions will I need?
Every woman’s healing timeline is different. Some experience meaningful shifts in one session; others feel supported by a series of three to six sessions or more. We’ll check in regularly so you can move at a pace that feels right for your body and life.
How should I prepare, and are there any precautions?
Wear comfortable undergarments, avoid heavy meals for 1–2 hours before, and try to allow some quiet time afterward for integration. Please share any relevant medical or personal history — such as pregnancy, birth, surgeries, implants, mastitis, or acute conditions — so we can tailor your care safely. Gentle scar tissue support (including C-section scars) is offered only after appropriate healing.
How do I integrate insights and sensations from the session into daily life?
After your session, simple practices like journaling, gentle movement, breathwork, or grounding can help you integrate what emerged. We’ll discuss specific suggestions for you, and you’re encouraged to listen to your body’s cues as you move back into daily life.
